Honeycomb Speech Therapy is a private practice in Northern California serving Placer, Sacramento, and surrounding communities. We offer comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic, play-based and child-led, services for children in the areas of: speech, receptive/expressive language, fluency, voice, and related cognitive-communication disorders. Our services are available in clinic, school/daycare, and/or via tele-platform, depending on what works best for clients and their families.

Our Team

Honeycomb Speech Therapy was founded and is co-owned by Yelena Gerez, an ASHA-certified and state-licensed bilingual speech-language pathologist (English and Russian). With extensive and diverse clinical experience, Yelena has worked in a variety of settings, including an in-patient trauma center, skilled nursing facilities, public schools, private practice, and a prestigious children’s hospital in Hangzhou, China. These experiences have shaped her into a highly skilled and compassionate provider, dedicated to helping clients achieve their communication goals.


In addition to her broad clinical expertise, Yelena has received specialized training in Orofacial Myology, focusing on the evaluation and treatment of oral and facial muscles. This advanced training enables her to address a wide range of issues related to:

  • Speech production

  • Chewing and swallowing

  • Dentition and dental alignment

  • Overall oral function as it impacts physical and mental health

Yelena’s comprehensive approach to therapy allows her to provide individualized care that supports not only communication but also overall well-being.
