We offer comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services for children in the areas of: speech, receptive/expressive language, fluency, voice, and related cognitive-communication disorders. Our services are provided in clinic, school/daycare, and/or via tele-platform depending on what works best for clients and their families.

We offer a complimentary, 15-minute telephone consultation to hear about your specific concerns and determine if you or your child would benefit from a comprehensive evaluation and/or treatment plan.

Our Process

Screenings

Screenings are quick assessments of a client’s speech, language, fluency, vocal quality, and/or social skills. They help determine if there are speech-language and/or swallowing concerns that warrant a comprehensive evaluation and possible treatment. Upon request, we provide a summary of results indicating whether further evaluation is recommended.

We also offer 15-30 minute speech and language screenings at select schools. If interested, please submit your request by emailing us at admin@honeycombslp.com with the school name and contact information.  


Evaluation

An evaluation is recommended if the client has not had a formal, speech and language evaluation within the last 3 years. The evaluation process includes, but is not limited to, a comprehensive review of the client’s medical and/or educational history, a family interview, review of medical and/or education reports (e.g., former IEPs), informal observations, formal evaluation, and report writing. The evaluation process may require 1-3 sessions depending on the needs and complexity.

Treatment

Services are provided in-person or via tele-practice, depending on what works best for you and your family. For children, a variety of toys, games, books, and activities are used to encourage “fun”ctional progress outside the therapeutic setting! All services are provided in compliance with HIPAA rules and regulations.

Payment

Our goal at Honeycomb is to give the highest level of excellence in care and treatment outcomes.

Insurance and Payment Options

  • Partnered with Kaiser: We work directly with Kaiser and accept other HMO plans (such as Mercy and Sutter) through a letter of agreement.

  • PPO and Private Pay: We accept PPO insurance plans and private pay options, including FSA/HSA. For private pay clients, we can provide a monthly Superbill upon request to assist with insurance reimbursement.

Important Notes

  • Insurance Reimbursement: Clients are responsible for checking their insurance plan benefits, reimbursement process, and submitting any necessary documentation.

  • When using a third-party payor (e.g., Kaiser, Mercy, Sutter), health plan co-payments and/or deductibles may apply and are due at the time services are rendered.
